Education and Certification
Giovanna earned her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship. Prior to earning her MBA, Giovanna studied at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, where she earned a BS in accountancy as well as a Master of Accounting Science degree. She holds Series 79 and Series 63 licenses with FINRA, and is also a registered CPA.
As a vice president at Meridian Capital, Giovanna plays a key role in transaction execution and supports the firm’s business development initiatives. Prior to joining Meridian Capital, Giovanna served as an investment banking associate at D.A. Davidson & Co. in Seattle, where she provided advisory services to middle-market companies in the consumer and food and beverage industries. She previously held roles as an investment banking associate at Wells Fargo Securities in the Financial Institutions Group in New York, and in the Industrials group in Chicago. Throughout her career, Giovanna has successfully advised clients on many transactions, including buy-side and sell-side engagements, IPOs, debt issuances, growth equity raises, and other strategic initiatives.
Community Service and Involvement
In her free time, Giovanna likes to play piano and attend live music performances of a variety of genres. A native Chicagoan, Giovanna has embraced the Pacific Northwest’s mountainous terrain and enjoys hiking and snowboarding when conditions allow.
