In our efforts to continue to grow, we are seeking a Director who will represent and serve leading founders, entrepreneurs and family business owners in Denver, Orange County, or Seattle.

Job Description:
A Director at Meridian Capital will be actively involved in generating and executing a variety of M&A transactions. The candidate will be responsible for establishing a broad network and reputation as a thought leader within a specific industry and the regional business community as a whole. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in Meridian’s continued growth and success as a thought leader with deep industry-specific expertise. This role will be responsible for initiating new client relationships and expanding the Meridian Capital franchise. The Director will manage deal pipeline and provide marketing to existing and new potential clients while overseeing preparation and delivery of presentations. The Director will be responsible for all aspects of a transaction life cycle: client sourcing, due diligence, negotiations, valuation analyses, and transaction closings. He/she should be resourceful and have the ability to secure businesses and convert prospective clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of relevant industry experience in investment banking
  • Extensive knowledge of corporate finance and private company transaction experience
  • Exceptional management and leadership skills with an emphasis on mentoring, developing, and managing deal teams and junior team members
  • Ability and eagerness to work collaboratively within a team
  • Knowledge of the accounting, taxation, regulatory and legal matters involved in the execution of public and private company M&A transactions and equity/debt capital markets transactions
  • Strong business development skills and history of successful fee generation
  • Current FINRA Series 79, 63 licenses strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s or MBA degree preferred

  • Must have the highest level of personal and professional integrity as well as a clear sense of purpose
  • Ability to think strategically and outside the box to come up with creative solutions
  • Experience in both relationship management and client management
  • Established track record of transaction experience and thought leadership in 1-2 industries.
  • Highly proficient in financial statement analysis and financial modeling


High Level Duties:

  • Oversee day-to-day deal execution on behalf of the client and the firm
  • Focus on business development, long term coverage and deal origination
  • Communicate regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide decision-makers in corporate finance transactions
