On April 28th, Meridian Capital was honored to support Washington State’s manufacturing industry leaders through its signature sponsorship of the Seattle Business Magazine’s 2016 Washington Manufacturing Awards.
Held at the Museum of Flight, the event honored fifteen pioneering companies and attracted over 300 business leaders from across the state. Companies were recognized for their leadership in innovation, culture and operational capabilities. The diversity of this year’s finalists – which included companies that make everything from RFID tags to bakery equipment – demonstrates the breadth and depth of the state’s industrial base. Washington manufacturers account for twelve percent of the state’s economy and close to half of all its exports.
“We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to partner with Seattle Business Magazine, Impact Washington and Chase to sponsor this year’s awards,” said Brian Murphy, President & Managing Director of Meridian Capital. “As active advisors to entrepreneurs and business owners within the local manufacturing industry, we are strong advocates of the event’s mission to support growth, stewardship and innovation within Washington State’s manufacturing community.”
