Our 2015 Year in Review

28 March 2016

Seattle, Washington | March 2016 – Meridian Capital is pleased to reflect on an eventful 2015 and a promising 2016.

The firm enhanced the strength of its Leadership and Transaction team through several new additions and promotions. In August 2015, Geoff Haydon was hired as a Director and co-head of Meridian’s Consumer Products Practice Group. Previously a Director at Moss Adams Capital, Geoff brings an extensive background in M&A and capital raising transactions in the apparel, footwear and outdoor/recreation industries and positions Meridian as a leading West Coast middle market mergers and acquisitions firm serving the consumer sector. Caroline Rose joined Meridian in January 2016 as the Operations Manager, adding significant experience and capabilities to our Operations team. Caroline’s widespread organizational experience in the legal, international non-profit, client management and executive development sectors is already proving invaluable to the dynamic administration of our firm.

In terms of 2015 promotions, we are excited to announce Patrick Ringland’s promotion to Managing Director and Kristin Brandtner’s promotion to Vice-President.

Brian Murphy, President and Managing Director of Meridian commented, “We are thrilled about the well-deserved promotions of both Patrick and Kristin. Patrick has proven to be an instrumental member of our team over the past five years, bringing true leadership to our execution activities and helping move forward our Healthcare and Technology teams. I am proud to call him a partner. Kristin has quickly established herself as a leader on our Transaction Team. She has proven invaluable in further enhancing the breadth and depth of our execution capabilities and quality.”

Additionally, the Puget Sound Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 program honored Brian Murphy as one of the 40 top business leaders under the age of 40.  These honorees excel in their industry and show dynamic leadership in their businesses, industries and communities who strive to inspire, innovate and instigate change with an entrepreneurial spirit. The award is a great reflection of the continued growth and success of Meridian.

Following an active 2015, the firm is looking ahead to continued success through the coming year. For the third year in row, Meridian is continuing its support of the Washington and Oregon organizations of Vistage International, a leading international advisory network for business owners and managers. Additionally, Meridian is proud to be a sponsor of the 2016 Washington Manufacturing Awards in partnership with Seattle Business Magazine to recognize leading companies and executives from Washington State’s dynamic manufacturing community.

We look forward to working with each of you in 2016. We wish all of our friends, colleagues and partners a prosperous and rewarding year.
