Meridian Capital Announces Two New Senior Hires

Seattle, Washington | July 2016 – Meridian Capital is pleased to announce the additions of Michael Barber and Tony Richardson to its leadership team. Michael joins the firm as a Managing Director with significant food & beverage and consumer products experience while Tony will be an Industry Advisor focused on technology and technology enabled services.

Michael is a seasoned corporate and business development executive with over 17 years of experience leading successful entrepreneurial ventures and M&A initiatives for leading fortune 500 companies and startups, including such notable brands as Nordstrom, Sony, Johnsonville and Foster Farms. Before joining Meridian Capital, Michael served as Senior Advisor to a boutique middle market investment bank, and led business and corporate development initiatives for Nordstrom. Prior to Nordstrom, Michael served as a Consultant to Sony. Michael began his career as a Corporate/Securities Lawyer with Thompson & Knight (Dallas) and Cairncross & Hempelmann (Seattle), then in 1998 launched his first company, Visomark, offering trademark and copyright services via an innovative flat-fee platform, growing it quickly over three years and selling to a larger IP firm.

Tony brings an extensive background in the international business IT services industry. His experience includes more than 20 years in the technology industry and 10 years as a Business Operator, developing strategic initiatives and advising management teams on corporate and strategic decisions. As Co-founder of Xtreme Consulting Group, Inc., an international business and IT services firm delivering consulting services across multiple sectors and regions, Xtreme experienced rapid growth through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions (including Blackfin Technology, Kipe Technologies and Synergy Seven), and is regularly recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the state and nation. Prior to Xtreme, Tony was at Microsoft where he served in multiple roles including Technologist, Senior Consultant, Technology Specialist and Systems Engineer. While in Microsoft Consulting Services, he worked with multiple Fortune 500 companies on technology architecture, design and implementation.
